Seminar on Limitations and Possibilities of Visual Language of Oriental Art

 

 

 

Department will organize a seminar on `Limitations and Possibilities of Visual Language of Oriental Art’ at 11 am in 5 December 2017 at Lecture Theater Hall of Faculty of Fine Art of DU. The article of the seminar will be presented by Professor Nasreen Begum, Department of Oriental Art, DU. Nasreen Begum is an eminent artist of Bangladesh, who explore the visual language of oriental art in a self-referential way. She is one of the most prominent figures in the art field of Bangladesh who synthesize very successfully the east and west art language in her art work. In this seminar she will show the pre-dominated psychic limitations in the concept of Oriental art and at the same time she will present her discoveries as possibilities of contemporary Oriental art with her very valuable experimental and distinctive art works.
