Diplomat calls on DU VC

          Permanent Representative to UNESCO and Ambassador of Bangladesh in France M. Shahidul Islam called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof.    Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddique today, February 8, 2017 at the latter’s office of the university. He was accompanied by First Secretary of the Embassy of Bangladesh in Paris Farhana Ahmed Chowdhury.   

           Dean of the Faculty of Fine Art of DU Prof. Nisar Hossain and Director of the Department of Fine Arts of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy Md. Muniruzzaman were present, among others, on this occasion.

            During the meeting they discussed various issues including development of art, culture and literature in Bangladesh. They stressed the need for taking comprehensive efforts to promote cultural heritage of the country.
