The mission of this Department is to excel in providing higher education in the field of Genetics and Biotechnology keeping in view the challenge of the twenty first century.

Department currently offering four years B.Sc. and one year M.Sc. program. It also accepts M.Phil. and Ph.D. students.

This Department has been providing students with well-furnished and air-conditioned classrooms and laboratory for better environment.

A rich seminar room is established in this Department. Students can use this room for their studies. This Departmental library is a progressive, dynamic resource, which supports the curricular of this Department.

We have established a computer laboratory with broad band internet facility. This online facility will certainly facilitate the students to know the latest developments of the genetic engineering technologies and other related matters.
